About Me

Hey there!  

I am an on location photographer based in Mechanicsville, VA who uses natural light with a goal to capture the "true personality" of the person on the other side of my lens. I love to photograph children, families and especially seniors! When our daughter was a senior, I noticed how few photographers were in my budget. I decided to take my love of photography and grow it into a business.

I spent many years as a preschool teacher and that is where I developed the love of photography and anything hedgehog. It's a long story but let's just say if they make it as a hedgehog, I probably own it! I also have a love of Chick Fil A frosted coffees or maybe that's another obsession too!

It's the best job to deliver beautiful senior or family portraits that will give you wonderful memories for a lifetime. Let's work together!

Family

Enjoying your family is one of the best gifts. Some days it's much harder than others, but it's all so worth it in the end. My kids are grown now and my sweet girl just got married this past May. Kyle and I have a love of Jack Russells. Mollie, our current pup, may be laying at my feet while I edit or she might just be chewing on something she shouldn't be! Also he isn't the cutest, but you can see my love of hedgehogs sitting on the porch.

Photography

When the kids were little, I was always taking pictures of them. I realized how much I like taking portraits when I taught preschool. I would do a photo album for all my preschool families and took photos all year long. Pretty soon people starting asking me to take their pictures and a business was born.
